Support the Films4Conservation Website

We are desperately in need of some funding to help develop the Films4Conservation website:

www.films4.org

This site is currently managed part time by two volunteers who are very busy on other conservation projects. We are in need of some expert web design assistance to develop it into the hugely valuable web-based conservation resource we want it to be. Please help us to move this project forward. Funds needed, but talented volunteers welcome too!

Donate: Old and Unused Equipment

Have you got any old laptops, digital camerasor GPS devices that you haven't used in a while? Would you like to see them put to good use? We can help you find good homes for this sort of equipment. As Cockroach Productions expands its reach into environmental and social documentary we will help support the local communities we work with. One way of doing this is to provide local people with the tools that will allow them to communicate the issues they are facing on the ground. Digital cameras and camcorders provide a wonderful and immediate means of documenting what is happening in at local levels and reporting it to the wider world. If you provide the kit we will make sure it finds a good new home and that the people using it will be trained in operating it. Please drop us a line if you think you have something that might be useful.

Donate: Indonesian Orangutan and Palm Oil Films

The Orangutan Film Protection Project:

We are looking for funds to do some workshops in Indonesia whereby local Indonesian conservationists have access to our library of palm oil and orangutan footage and are able to create their own Indonesian language short campaign films with our technical assistance. We would also like to facilitate the production of some "on the ground" reporting to keep the story up to date.

The Orangutan Film Protection Project has brought the orangutan and palm oil story to more than 90,000,000 people worldwide over TV News, Radio, Press and the Internet. We are members of the Ape Alliance Palm Oil Working Group and have been working on the palm oil issue for over two years now.
